Over 40 years of tinkering....

It seems like Stacy has always "tinkered" with woodworking and it has provided him with many hours of relaxation as well as aggravation. He says "It's like building a team in life. You have to appreciate what each piece of wood is offering to you. It's that uniqueness within each piece of wood, when properly combined with the uniqueness of the other pieces of wood in a project, that truly make a masterpiece ". The grain, the density and the moisture content of the wood along with your current level of patience makes for a great day in the shop or just a really good day in the shop.


He doesn't like to rush a project through his shop because each one is truly a work of art and no two are the same. He says "you can do it fast or you can do it right, but, fast and right rarely go hand-in-hand".


For Stacy, this is a hobby that he enjoys when he is not at work or volunteering with the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department. Since this is a hobby, the hours that he can pour into a project depends on what life is allowing this week...
